I'm sad that I didn't get to say good by and tell you how much I lived you Grandma Janet. I hope you knew how much I did love you.
Jaci Phone calls August 24, 2012
Because of geography, mom & I didn't get to see each other very often so our phone calls were our lifeline.  As long as I can remember, she & I had this unique connection where we could often sense when there was something wrong with the other.  When we had these impressions, and would call, the first words out of our mouth's were always, "What's wrong?!"  I can't think of a single time that the other one said, "Nothing, why?"  I am so grateful for this spiritual bond we shared.  Mom always knew when I needed her & was always, always lovingly concerned & imparted so many pearls of wisdom.  She had the BEST advice for any given situation & I lovingly quote her often.  My favorite part of our phone calls??  No matter how deep each of our discussions began, we always ended laughing till our stomachs hurt.  Dad would come home, walk by mom on the phone & in passing, say, "Hi Jac".  She said he always knew when it was me on the phone because of how hard she was laughing.  Her laugh...her amazing laugh.  Oh how I miss it & our phone calls.  I love you mom.

John Hawes My Cookie July 8, 2012

I have so many memories of our life together, some romantic, some sad, some funny, some trying,a very few angry, but each and every one is precious to me. We truly shared every aspect of our lives and existence, so now I find myself turning to share a moment, a thought, an experience only to once more realize that I am truly alone. I miss you so much.

Carli Larsen Chap Stick June 16, 2012
Grandma,
I never told you or anyone this, but I always loved the way you put on your chap stick, rubbing it on with your ring finger. I loved it because I had never seen anyone do it the way you do. Even though we live so far apart, I always felt your love. Your birthday cards were the best and I will always cherish them as I kept them all. I couldn't have asked for a better Grandma. I love you so much and can't wait to see you again.
